1. Is my wedding date available?
Obviously, as a discerning couple, it's essential not to develop an emotional connection with a professional photographer if you won't ultimately be able to hire them. At Aspen Photography, we want to be transparent and upfront about our availability. Currently, we are exclusively booking for couples who have their wedding dates scheduled for the year 2024. However, fear not, as we happily accept reservations for engagement sessions for weddings taking place in 2025. We understand that planning such a significant event requires careful consideration, and we are here to accommodate your unique timeline.
2. Have you ever photographed a wedding at our ceremony and reception venue? If not, do you plan to check out the venue in advance?
It is perfectly fine if your photographer hasn't had the opportunity to personally visit your venue beforehand. In fact, it's quite common in the photography industry. After all, each wedding is unique and often takes place in a venue the photographer has never seen before. However, to ensure that everything runs smoothly on your special day, I like to arrive early to scout out the location. This allows me to familiarize myself with the surroundings, identify the best spots for capturing beautiful moments, and plan accordingly. Additionally, I leverage technology to further acquaint myself with the venue. By taking advantage of tools like Google Maps, I can virtually explore the area when we have our initial consultation. This provides me with a preliminary understanding of the venue, enabling me to come prepared with ideas and suggestions tailored specifically to your wedding day.
3. Pricing
Now it's time to get down to business and discuss the exciting details of our photography services. During your consultation call or in-person meeting, we make sure to provide you with a comprehensive sheet that breaks down our standard packages in a clear and concise manner. This sheet serves as a helpful guide, giving you all the necessary information to make an informed decision about which package suits your unique needs. However, we understand that every client may have specific requirements or preferences when it comes to their photography experience. That's why we welcome and encourage customization of our packages according to your preferences and vision. Our team is more than happy to tailor our services to match your specific desires, ensuring that every detail is captured beautifully and exactly the way you envision. 4. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance?
Most photographers have a radius. We have a radius of 20 miles outside of Tacoma, WA. It is $0.25 a mile after 20 miles traveled. This helps us cover our gas mileage as this isn't added in our packages and it is a separate fee. We also book destination weddings. For a destination wedding we have our standard packages to pick from and an additional cost of airfare, and a 3-night stay (2 days before wedding). The 3-night stay allows us to have some wiggle room for any problems with travel and to give us a chance to meet you in person the day before your wedding!
5. Can we order prints or albums directly from you?
